Titanium and stainless steel powder sintered filter cartridges are the most commonly used. Titanium sintered filter element, commonly known as titanium rod filter element. It is a microfiltration element made by sieving, shaping, and sintering titanium powder. Its main features include high filtration accuracy, corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, and the ability to be repeatedly regenerated and used.

1. High temperature resistance, normal use below 500 degrees Celsius.

2. High filtration accuracy, stable pores, effective removal of suspended solids and particles, excellent filtration accuracy, and good purification effect.

3. Good breathability and low pressure loss. High porosity, uniform pore size, low initial resistance, easy to blow back, can be regenerated online, easy to clean, strong regeneration ability, and long service life.

4. High mechanical strength, good rigidity, good plasticity, no need for external skeleton support protection, simple installation and use, easy maintenance, good assembly, and can be welded, bonded, and machined.

Stainless steel powder sintered filter element, with its unique properties, can be widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, water treatment industry, food industry, biotechnology, chemical industry, petrochemical industry, metallurgical industry, and gas purification field. It is a new type of filter material with broad development prospects.

Its typical uses include:

1. Impurity removal filtration, decarbonization filtration, and fine filtration in the production process of chemical raw materials.

Precautions for using stainless steel powder sintered filter cartridge

1. Stainless steel powder sintered filter element is a consumable item. Although it is more durable than other filter elements, attention should be paid to avoiding scratches, impacts, smashing, and other phenomena during cleaning and disassembly to prevent human damage. It is strictly prohibited to apply force to the surface of the filter element with tools.

2. Generally, the filtrate is filtered from the outside to the inside of the filter cartridge, and reverse filtration is not recommended.

3. When filtering, slowly increase the pressure to the required working pressure, and it is strictly prohibited to quickly increase the pressure by opening the valve in an instant.

4. The maximum working pressure is ≤ 3MPa. When the filtration efficiency is below 50%, clean air or clean liquid should be used for online backwashing and backwashing in a timely manner.

5. When performing backwashing and backwashing on stainless steel powder sintered filter cartridges, pure gas is generally used for backwashing first, with a backwashing pressure of 1.2-1.5 times the working pressure, and each backwashing time is 3-5 seconds. After repeated operation 4-6 times, clean liquid is used for backwashing for 3-5 minutes, with 2-3 operations.

6. If the pressure loss is still severe after online backwashing and backwashing of the filter element, it should be removed and cleaned in a timely manner.

Cleaning method for stainless steel powder sintered filter element

Stainless steel powder sintered filter cartridges can be regenerated and cleaned using physical and chemical methods based on the pollution situation, chemical properties of pollutants, and the physicochemical properties of stainless steel.

The main physical methods used are:

Clean liquid backwash, clean gas blowback, and ultrasonic cleaning methods. Chemical methods mainly use cleaning agents such as dilute acid, dilute alkali, oxidants, surfactants, enzymes, etc. The above methods can also be used interchangeably.

According to several common application scenarios, the cleaning methods are as follows:

1. The decarbonization filtration in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields should often use backwashing and backwashing methods combined with ultrasonic cleaning for optimal results.

2. In the water production industry, due to the fact that the surface of the filter element is mostly trapped with insoluble salts and oxides, it is generally soaked in 5% nitric acid without ultrasonic cleaning to achieve the cleaning effect.

3. The original liquid filtration should be cleaned using the following methods based on the chemical properties of pollutants:

(1) Alkali washing: Soak in a 3-5% sodium hydroxide analytical solution for 30-60 minutes at a temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius, which is optimal in an ultrasonic cleaning machine. After soaking, rinse inside and outside with filtered deionized water or injection water until neutral, and measure the conductivity. Blow dry with pure air at a pressure of ≥ 0.4MPa.

(2) Acid washing: Soak in a 5% nitric acid solution for more than 8 hours at a temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius. Best in ultrasonic cleaning machines. After soaking, rinse inside and outside with filtered deionized water or injection water until neutral and the side conductivity. Blow dry with pure air at a pressure of ≥ 0.4MPa.

(3) Organic pollution can be cleaned with surfactants, while cell debris pollution systems can be cleaned with enzymes for better results (high concentration citric acid can be used for food and beverage cleaning).

(4) The above methods can be used alone or in combination with each other alternately. If conditions permit, combining with an ultrasonic cleaning machine yields the best results.

Attention: Regularly perform online backwashing (using pure compressed air, filtered solution, or clean water for backwashing) to reduce the frequency of cleaning using the above methods.
